Lucha Libre Taco Shop opens in Carlsbad

Just a quick note, I know that no one really ever reads this site, and it is here for my entertainment. So this is just to put it out in the world.

My GF and I decided to head over to the Carlsbad Mall, which I have to say is looking a lot better after getting an overhall and facelift. If you don’t know, this mall was near dead, very empty and with very few shops. I would like to go there because it does have a very large comic boom store, and currently still does. Well the mall was sold, the new owners are investing money into it, bringing in new shops and new dining venues also, including a Dave and Busters, and to my surprise a Lucha Libre taco shop.

If you have ever been to the original location not far from the airport, and Old Towne, you will know this place is always busy, usually a line out the door. Well this new location is laid out about the same, with a few minor differences, has seating both inside and out, and the same great menu. And the best part, no where as busy as the original.

The food is just as great, buy everything on the menu at either location. The salsa, in the salsa bar, are always the best, the chips they give you for free, and made fresh and always tasty. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, so please be kind to them, and don’t forget if you wear in a Luchadores mask you get a discount on your purchase.

Two Thumbs up for my experience and food here.

Raspberry Pi

So a few days ago I got my Raspberry Pi kit in the mail.  The putting it all together was a snap.  What I got it for is my idea is to run it as a home Automation server to power the WeMo lights that I got, along with the WeMo plugs I will be getting in the near futre.  What this allows me to do it turning on and off my lights and other things remotely.

The setup of the Raspberry Pi was really easy, I got OpenHAB installed and running on it fairly easily.  I still have to finish setting up OpenHAB, and then I need to do my port forwarding on my router, but that is a no brainer. Also on this same one I will be pluggin in an external HD, and then putting OpenCloud on it and use it as a NAS like server.

But now after playing with the RPi, I want to get a few more for other project ideas I have.  One is I want to make a “SteamPunk” laptop, usinf the RPI and a cigar box for the case, all pretty straight forward.  The other project I am thinking about is on to be a Steam game streamer so I can play my Steam games on any TV in the house.
